Call For Tenders
Tenders are invited from prospective Lessees for the Lease of the Caravan Park, Kiosk and Residence situated at Etty Bay. The kiosk and residence are situated on a Reserve of which the Council is the trustee and the Caravan Park is situated on freehold land owned by the Council. Accordingly the Lease documentation involves two (2) separate Leases which are interconnected and any tender will be for a rental which will cover both Leases, i.e. there will not be a separate rental for each Lease.
The terms and conditions of the proposed Leases are set out in the Lease documents, copies of which can be obtained from the Council, together with the conditions of tendering and prescribed form of tender.
Please note the Lease document includes provision for the payment of a premium. This is an upfront payment to be made by the Lessee at the commencement of the Lease in recognition of the fact that the Lessee will, in effect, be taking over a long established business of kiosk and caravan park.
Where the Tenderer is a Company, Directors’ Guarantees in the form of the Guarantee set out in the Lease document will be required.

Tenders must be lodged in a sealed envelope endorsed “T.2008-14 Lease of Etty Bay Caravan Park” and delivered to the Customer Service Section Rankin Street, Innisfail or placed in the tender box, Civic Centre Bryant Street Tully by 3.00 pm 1st April 2009. A Tender received by telephonic or telegraphic devices, telegram, telex, facsimile or other electronic means, will not be considered.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
