Application Guidelines
Applicants must be under the age of 18 during the year that the Bursary is awarded, in this case 2009, i.e. must still be 17 on the 31st December, 2009.
Applications Close: 26th June, 2009
It is anticipated that twenty-five bursaries of $500 each will be awarded. This year the bursaries will be distributed around each of the North Queensland Sports Foundation regions; Mackay Region, Townsville Region, Mount Isa Region and Cairns Region. The selection process will take into account the desire for the athlete to achieve in his/her sport. All recipients will be awarded a unique embroidered track suit jacket along with a cheque for $500.
The recipients will be asked to report back to the North Queensland Sports Foundation of the progress that he/she has achieved in the development of their sport within six months of the bursary being awarded. A photograph of the presentation will also be required. This will enable the Foundation to place information on its website and in the Foundation newsletter.
Applications must be forwarded through the Cassowary Coast Regional Council.
Please Note: Cassowary Coast Regional Council will be allowed to submit a maximum of 2 applications per year.
