Applying for Building Work with Council
The Integrated Planning Act 1997 establishes a simple step-by-step process for making, assessing and deciding development applications in Queensland. This process is called the Integrated Development Assessment System, or IDAS.

IDAS Application Forms
There is a suite of standard forms for making applications and amending approvals under IDAS.
The suite of forms consist of -
Form 1: Development Application
Form 2: Request to change or modify an existing approval
Plumbing
Form 1: Application for Compliance Assessment
Form 2: Proposed Plumbing and Drainage Work
These forms apply across the State of Queensland regardless of the nature or location of the proposed development and regardless of the entity acting as assessment manager for the application.
