Welcome to the CCRC

The Cassowary Coast Regional Council was formed on March 15th, 2008 through the State Government local government reform process, and comprises of the former shires of Cardwell and Johnstone.

While some information resides here, other content is available through the former Councils’ Web sites.

Rates Issued

The Cassowary Coast Regional Council issued its first ever rates notices on August 25th, 2008.

The due date for the payment of these rates notices is the 24th of September, 2008.
