Council offering a premium service for tenderers

Are you in need of help with placing a tender with Council through the Local Government Tender Box? Now is your chance to have a personalised helping hand.

Cassowary Coast Regional Council (CCRC) is offering one-on-one sessions with business owner’s to ensure they understand the process of placing a tender, and will assist them in lodging their bids.

Cassowary Coast Regional Councillor Mark Nolan said CCRC doesn’t want computer skills to be a barrier in becoming a supplier to Council.

"Obviously we cannot get involved with the preparation of each tender, however we have dedicated library staff to assist business owners in submitting their proposals electronically, setting up an account, and uploading and downloading of documents," said Cr Nolan.

"Council wants to give business owners in our region a good chance at winning tenders regardless of their computer skills as we understand that some professions do not use this type of technology on a regular basis.

"We currently have two tenders open – Plant and Truck Hire and Trade and Technical Services."

Business owners interested in lodging proposals for both current tenders must book an appointment at any of the four CCRC Library branches by phoning 1300 366 616.

This premium service that Council is providing for free will run until Wednesday 14 June, 2018.
