Council to begin construction on Victory Creek Bridge
Cassowary Coast Regional Council (CCRC) contractors will soon begin construction on the new Victory Creek Bridge and approaches on Jubilee Road, Garradunga.
As part of the upgrade, the contractor will be required to close the existing bridge for set periods of time to undertake specific construction activities, which will cause minor traffic disruptions.
CCRC is requesting any residents who may be affected by the works to contact Council with their details to ensure they receive fortnightly updates on any traffic disruptions during the works.
The existing bridge will remain open to the public for the duration of works, excluding days where construction activities do not permit the public to use the bridge, which include example pile driving or approach works.
Site works will involve an upgrade to a two-lane bridge, raised bridge height to increase the usability during heavy rainfall events and flooding, and realignment to improve safety.
Any residents in the Garradunga area that will affected by the works are encouraged to phone Council on 1300 763 903 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Construction is expected to begin mid-April.
