Works to begin on Cowley Creek Bridge
The Cassowary Coast Regional Council (CCRC) advises work on the Cowley Creek Bridge is expected to commence on Monday 24 September 2018.
A full road closure will be required during these works for an expected duration of approximately 6-8 weeks. A detour will be in place via Valmadre and Warrubullen Roads.
Council asks motorists to be observant and obey traffic signs advising the changes to normal traffic conditions.
The upgrade will include the replacement of the existing single lane, double span timber bridge with a two-lane, single span timber bridge which will improve safety for motorists, remove creek obstructions and increase accessibility for heavy vehicles.
The project is funded by the Australian Governments Bridges Renewal Program (BRP), Queensland Government’s Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme (TIDS) and also through Council’s 2018-19 Capital Budget.
CCRC is requesting any residents who may be affected by the works to contact Council with their details to ensure they receive regular status updates on the project during the works.
Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any further questions or concerns please contact Council on 1300 763 903 or email email@example.com.
