Master Plans and Strategies Master Plans and Strategies

        Mayor's Message

It’s an exciting time for Mission Beach and the Cassowary Coast region as Council seek initial comments on the Mission Beach Strategic Masterplan.

Council is pleased to be able to bring this project to fruition for Mission Beach. Apart from providing a collaborative approach for the community to become involved in shaping its future, the project represents a tangible way for Council to identify practical economic activation objectives. Projects such as this can spearhead the Council and the region’s communities beyond the usual “roads, rates and rubbish” and help set a better course for our prosperity.

The purpose of the project is to design a liveable and vibrant town centre for Mission Beach with a unique masterplan that results in a prosperous and liveable region and attracts people to visit, live, work, play and invest in the Cassowary Coast. The masterplan will also provide further opportunities for visitors and locals to experience and appreciate Mission Beach’s natural assets and laid back atmosphere.

Together, we can make Mission Beach’s town centre one that not only meets the growing needs of our community, but showcases our unique tropical lifestyle and exceptional natural environment to the rest of Australia and the world.

I invite you to share your ideas and suggestions to help shape our future through the Mission Beach Strategic Masterplan.
