Smoke Hazard - Etty Bay area
SMOKE HAZARD | A controlled burn will take place this afternoon (Tuesday 4 September) within the Etty Bay Road Conservation Park as part of the QPWS annual reduction/conservation management program for the region’s parks and forests.
Please be aware that wetland vegetation burns produce heavy smoke, airborne ash, loud crackling and vigorous flames. Smoke can decrease visibility on the roads so it is important that motorists drive safely to the conditions. Sightseeing during ...the burn is not recommended.
The burn is expected to take several days to complete.
