The Innisfail Animal Refuge is a not-for-profit, registered charity which provides an animal re-housing service.

The refuge accepts dogs and cats for re-housing upon prior arrangement and for a fee.

Residents in the Cassowary Coast Region who want to adopt a dog or cat can contact the Innisfail Animal Refuge on 07 4061 4449.

The refuge's hours of operation are 8.30am-1pm and 4pm-6pm from Monday to Saturday. The facility is on Downing St.

All dogs adopted from the refuge must be desexed and, if residing in the Cassowary Coast Region in an area that is not rural, need to be registered and have a fenced enclosure.
