Social Housing

Council provides community housing for residents in our region who meet the eligibility criteria for social housing.

We have one, two and three-bedroom homes for aged residents, families and individuals.

Aged residents:
Innisfail - 33 units
Tully - 12 units
Cardwell - 8 units

Families and individuals:

Innisfail - seven-bedroom share facility, four two-bedroom demountables, three three-bedroom houses.

Rent is charged in line with the Department of Communities rent policy, and is based on household income.

The accommodation is available to residents who meet the Eligibility Criteria for Social Housing which can be accessed on the State Government's Department of Communities website www.communities.qld.gov.au
