Green and Gold Club
This club recognises North Queensland athletes who have represented Australia in sport. The Green and Gold Club was established by the North Queensland Sports Foundation.
Cassowary Coast residents can nominate to be listed in the club.
An athlete must be:
- North Queensland-born or have spent a considerable amount of their life in North Queensland (defined as the area north and west of Sarina). Please check below for detailed criteria.
- An Australian representative at open level in one of the sports listed below at the Olympics, Paralympics, Commonwealth Games or a sanctioned World Titles or Championships (at the discretion of the North Queensland Sports Foundation Board) OR have performed outstanding feats earning them a recommendation by the Operations Committee and approval by the Foundation Board. These athletes may not necessarily be from one of the sports listed.
