Heritage Festival: Connecting People, Places & the Past

Paintings by local artists, historic photographs and architectural plans provide an insight into how rivers, light rail and civic buildings connected the people and places of our region from the late 19th century onwards. 

On display at the Innisfail Shire Hall

LOTE - Languages Other Than English

Whether you want to retain fluency in your first language, keep your culture alive, or develop your skills in another language, you can borrow books and dvds in other languages at every Cassowary Coast Library branch. We can help you access fiction and non-fiction books and dvds for adults and children in more than 50 languages through our bulk loan service with the State Library of Queensland. If you can't see your language, please talk to our friendly staff and we would be happy to place a request for you.  Go to our Collections page for more information.

Tech Savvy Regional Queensland

Cassowary Coast Library Services provides free training sessions designed to upskill members of the community on how to use a variety of technologies. Part of the Tech Savvy Regional Queensland initiative and funded by Telstra and State Library of Queensland, the program delivers sessions to help develop  useful online skills including: how to use your smart phone and tablets, the basics of social media and finding your way around a computer and the internet.
