Notice of Footpath Works Mourilyan Road (Fitzgerald Esplanade to Bartle Street)

Cassowary Coast Regional Council wishes to advise the commencement of the footpath replacement works along Mourilyan Road (eastern side) to Bartle Street on Monday 22 April 2024.

This project will involve the replacement of approximately 500 metres of existing concrete footpath which will provide a safer footpath for the public.

The project is anticipated to conclude by late July 2024, pending favourable site and weather conditions.

Council will endeavour to minimise possible temporary impacts such as:

  • Temporary impacts to traffic & access to kerbside parking;
  • Construction noise and dust;
  • Disruption to driveway access.

Construction is fully funded by the Cassowary Coast Regional Council.

For the safety of workers and road users, changed traffic conditions will be in place while the works are carried out.
