Citizenship Ceremony

Cassowary Coast Regional Council conducts Citizenship Ceremonies throughout the year.

Becoming an Australian Citizen is a meaningful milestone in the journey of settling here. It’s a special moment where we officially welcome new Australians into our community.

The Department of Home Affairs allocate new citizens to a ceremony and then invitations are distributed by Cassowary Coast Regional Council, via mail and email.

2025 Citizenship ceremonies will be held on the following dates:

• Wednesday 18 June
• Wednesday 19 November

The ceremonies commence at 10:00am at the Innisfail Shire Hall, 70 Rankin Street Innisfail
