See what’s changed - Renewed flood maps for the Cassowary Coast

We are inviting the community to drop in, explore the renewed regional flood maps and speak directly with the project team at upcoming sessions in Tully and Innisfail.
The renewed flood models cover several study areas across the Cassowary Coast, including the Lower Johnstone and Moresby River, Liverpool and Maria Creeks, Mission Beach, Tully and Murray Rivers, and Meunga Creek.
Thank you to everyone who shared their local knowledge through our community consultation earlier this year. Your feedback, together with updated technical information, helped inform the renewed flood models.
At the sessions, you can:
- ·view the renewed flood maps
- learn how to read and understand the information
- find out what has changed
- ask the project team questions about the modelling and your local area.

No bookings are required. Community members can attend at any time during the sessions.
The maps provide regional information about possible flood behaviour for selected events. They are not flood forecasts or property-specific assessments.
