Your feedback helps to shape Council priorities, community outcomes, and advocacy.
What is the Community Scorecard?
The MARKYT Community Scorecard is like a survey.
The Scorecard asks you to score the Council on a range of performance measures.
The Scorecard also asks you about your priorities for making the Cassowary Coast the most liveable tropical community, and how you like to be informed and engaged.
Why complete the Scorecard?
The MARKYT Community Scorecard helps Council to focus on what matters most to the community.
By completing the Scorecard, you can have your say about local services, programs and facilities – from rubbish, roads and rates, to events, arts and culture, environment and more.
Based on responses to the Scorecards in 2022 and 2024, we:
- advocated for improved medical services in Cardwell and Mission Beach
- advocated for the establishment of the Cassowary Coast University Centre
- strengthened our engagement with young people, including through the Youth Advisory Committee and Youth Action Plan
- advocated for more funding to improve the safety of roads and public spaces
- are developing a Disability Inclusion Action Plan and Community Safety Plan to address community concerns

When should you complete the Scorecard?
The MARKYT Community Scorecard is open from 12 October and closes on 6 November 2026.
How do you complete the Scorecard?
You can complete the Scorecard online.
Alternatively, you can fill out a paper version - check your letterbox.
If you complete a paper copy, you will need to post it to the address provided on the front page of the Scorecard. The address is:

What happens if you don’t receive a Scorecard in your mailbox?
If you didn’t receive a copy in your letterbox or email inbox, and you live in the Cassowary Coast region, don’t worry!
You can complete the Scorecard online.
Or you can ask for a printed copy of the Scorecard at a Council customer service centre or library. (If you complete a paper copy, you will need to post it to the address provided on the front page of the Scorecard).
How long does it take to complete the Scorecard?
The time it takes to complete the Scorecard is up to you. You may only need a few minutes, or you may want to provide more detailed feedback.
Who manages the Scorecard?
The MARKYT Community Scorecard is undertaken by CATALYSE® Pty Ltd – an independent market research agency.
CATALYSE managed the Scorecards for the Cassowary Coast in 2022 and 2024. This will be the third time they have managed the Scorecard on behalf of Council.

Yes, your responses are private and confidential.
