TMR scheduled night works Innisfail CBD - Mid June

The Department of Transport and Main Roads will begin pavement strengthening works on the Bruce Highway through Innisfail CBD (Ernest and Edith Streets) between Station Street and McGowan Street from mid-June, weather permitting.

Works will be carried out at night between 6pm and 6am and are expected to take approximately six weeks.

During works, motorists can expect:

  • Temporary speed reductions
  • Single-lane traffic arrangements
  • Temporary overnight closure of on-street parking in work areas

The project will improve road safety, pavement strength, drainage and ride quality, while helping to reduce potholes and extend the life of the road.

Please follow all traffic signage and allow extra travel time when travelling through the area.
