Water main renewal - Roma Street, Cardwell

Council (CCRC) wishes to advise that there may be interruptions to the traffic and property access while Council’s Contractors undertake upgrades for the Roma Street Water Main Renewal. Works are scheduled between 23 February – Early May 2026.

Areas to be affected include Roma Street from Liverpool Street to the end of the sealed road to the south.

Temporary impacts may include the following: 

  • Interruptions to water supply (After mandatory notifications)
  • Impacts to traffic.
  • Access to kerbside parking
  • Construction noise
  • Disruption to driveway access
  • Loss of water supply

For the safety of workers and road users, changed traffic conditions will be in place while the works are carried out.
