Event Permits and Licences

Before your event, you may need to apply for one or more permits.

Please check what approvals may be needed early in the planning stage so everything is in place before the event begins. If you are not sure which permits apply, we are here to help point you in the right direction. Permits are to be submitted 6 weeks out of the event date.

Is the event on council or public land?

To book council land for your event, please submit this permit - 4.8 General Activities 26-27

Serving Alcohol?

If you are hiring a Council venue or holding an event on Council land and intend to have alcohol served at your event, please submit this form - Liquor Licence Risk Assessment 26-27(PDF, 449KB)

Does your event require road closures?

The following permit will also need to be submitted - 4.23 Alteration or Improvement of Local Government Controlled Areas or Roads 26-27
