Get ready to build, create and make a difference!

To celebrate National Recycling Week, Cassowary Coast Regional Council is teaming up with local libraries to bring you 'Operation Recycling – a fun LEGO® building competition encouraging children to explore the world of recycling through creativity and imagination.

Whether it's a recycling superhero, a clever sorting machine, a rubbish truck, a recycling centre or something completely out of the box, we want to see what recycling means to you!

So, grab your LEGO® bricks, get building and show us how you can help make our community greener.

Entry is free and open to Cassowary Coast residents aged 4-17 years. Entries open 9 November and close 30 November 2026.

Creations may be displayed at participating libraries alongside the entrant's first name, age and a short description of their creation.
