Calling all creatives: RADF funding round opens for Cassowary Coast

We are inviting local artists, arts workers, cultural workers, community groups and organisations to apply for funding through Round 1 of the 2026 - 2027 Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF).

Applications are now open and close on 25 October 2026, with eligible applicants able to apply for up to $5,000 to support local arts and cultural projects.

The Regional Arts Development Fund is a long-standing partnership between the Queensland Government, through Arts Queensland, and eligible local councils across the state, supporting the development of local arts, culture, and creative activity in regional communities.

Collectives and cooperatives may also apply with an eligible auspice, and not-for-profit arts and cultural organisations are encouraged to submit applications.

Funding is available for a range of creative and collaborative projects that contribute to a vibrant local arts and cultural scene. This may include public art, exhibitions, workshops, performances, and other initiatives that engage the community in arts and culture.

Grant funding can be used for project costs directly related to delivery, including artist fees, materials, venue hire, promotion, and other eligible expenses.

Applicants are encouraged to review the RADF Guidelines 2026 - 2028 to ensure they understand the eligibility and assessment requirements before applying.

Applications must be submitted online through Council’s SmartyGrants page.
