Dredging Works at Port Hinchinbrook – 50% Completion

Cassowary Coast Regional Council wishes to update the community on the progress of dredging works at Port Hinchinbrook, which have now reached 50% completion. Due to weather conditions and the need to ensure embankment stabilisation, the remaining works are scheduled to be completed over the next two to three weeks, weather permitting. As progress continues, we appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation.

Key Updates:

• Ramp Access: One side of the ramp will be reopened for public use on Sunday 2 February 2025, allowing limited access.
• Temporary Facilities: Temporary toilets will be installed in the carpark on Friday 31 January 2025 to assist with accessibility.
• Temporary Fencing: Fencing will be arranged to ensure public safety while allowing access where possible.
