Cassowary Coast Regional Council advises that installation of feature lighting to allocated trees will commence this month as part of the Illuminate Tully & Innisfail CBD project.
Works will include the installation of feature and amenity lighting designed to enhance these public spaces, improve visual appeal and create vibrant night-time environments for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Improved public lighting was identified as a community priority through the Community Scorecard, with residents specifying lighting as an important measure to help improve safety and encourage greater use of public spaces.
Some minor disruptions may occur while installation works are underway. Council appreciates the community's patience as these improvements are delivered.
The project is proudly funded by the Queensland Government’s Works for Queensland program.
