The next stage of the Kurrimine Beach foreshore walking track is moving ahead, with a contractor now engaged to extend the existing pathway by approximately 450 metres south.

This upgrade will improve connectivity and accessibility, making it easier for locals and visitors to enjoy the foreshore.

As part of the works, updated dog management signage will also be installed, clearly identifying ‘no dogs’ and ‘dogs on leash’ areas in response to community feedback.

Construction is expected to begin in May, with completion by 30 June 2026 (weather permitting).

These works form part of Council’s broader Foreshore Management Plan for Kurrimine and Cowley Beaches, guiding long-term improvements, supporting coastal resilience and balancing community use with environmental outcomes.
