Cassowary Coast Regional Council will be recommencing works on Shell Pocket Road to complete pavement and sealing works.
Works commencing: Monday 25 May 2026 Expected completion: Friday 29 May 2026 (weather permitting) Closure times: 24/7 road closure during works
A section of Shell Pocket Road at Whing Creek will be closed to all traffic. Detours will be available via either side through El Arish.
Access to all properties either side of Wing Creek will remain available throughout the works.
For the safety of workers and road users, changed traffic conditions and detours will be in place while works are underway.
