Seaview Street Amenities Renewal – Mission Beach

Cassowary Coast Regional Council will commence renewal works on the Seaview Street Amenities Block, Mission Beach (adjacent to the stinger nets) from 23 September 2025.

The existing facility has reached the end of its serviceable life, with significant deterioration and non-compliance with current accessibility standards. Feedback received through Council’s stinger net survey also highlighted the poor condition of this facility.

As part of Council’s $300,000 Amenities Renewal Program, works will involve:

• Full demolition and rebuild of the existing structure
• New amenities including:
• • 3 x toilets
  • 1 x unisex accessible toilet with baby change table
  • 1 x male ambulant toilet
  • 1 x female ambulant toilet

Construction will be undertaken by Council’s in-house Building Trades Team with support from local contractors.

Portable amenities will be provided onsite for the duration of the works.

The project is expected to be completed by mid–late November 2025 (weather permitting).
