Show Off Your Shopfront!

Cassowary Coast businesses can now apply for the Shopfront Improvement Program 2025-26, offering matched dollar-for-dollar funding up to $5000 for upgrades to commercial facades.
Mayor Teresa Milwood shared her excitement about the relaunch of the program, after last year’s Shopfront Improvement was such a success.
“The 24-25 Shopfront Improvement Program delivered incredible results, with 20 successful local businesses and a total return on investment of 318%.
“For every $1 invested, $3 was returned to our local economy,” said Mayor Millwood.
“By helping business owners to upgrade their shopfronts, we’re not only supporting local, but also revitalising our streetscapes, and creating vibrant town centres that attract residents and visitors alike.”
This year’s program will prioritise the Mission Beach Tourism Precinct, recognising the impacts local businesses have faced from drainage works. Businesses across the wider Cassowary Coast are still encouraged to apply, with the program remaining open to all commercial precincts across the region.
Applications close on Friday 19 September.
