The Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will be carrying out essential bridge maintenance works as part of its ongoing program to ensure the continued safety and reliability of bridges on the state-controlled road network.
The works will involve repairs to steel structural components of the bridge.
Closure dates and times
Monday 13 April to Sunday 19 April 2026 7:30am to 4:00pm daily A half-hour access period will be provided from 11:30am to 12:00pm each day.
Monday 20 April to Wednesday 22 April 2026 9:00am to 2:30pm daily (adjusted to support school access) A half-hour access period will be provided from 11:30am to 12:00pm each day.
Emergency service vehicles will be provided access if required.
Variable Message Signs (VMS) will be in place on approaches to the work site to advise motorists of changed traffic conditions. Any changes to scheduled dates due to weather will be communicated via these signs.
