Project update – Etty Bay Road

Cassowary Coast Regional Council has commenced works on Etty Bay Road to improve access and traffic safety for residents, businesses and all road users. Contractors are currently on site delivering the early stages of the project.

What’s happening?

The existing one-lane bridge will be removed and replaced with a new two-lane culvert, improving traffic flow and safety through the area.

Project status

  • Scheduled water main upgrade works are planned for Thursday 26 March, weather permitting. Affected residents will be notified in advance.
  • Telstra service relocation works have been completed.

During construction

  • Vehicle access will be maintained where possible
  • Traffic management will be in place
  • Please follow all signage and directions to ensure safety
