Bin Day Changing for Selected Suburbs from 12 May 2025

Back

Cassowary Coast Regional Council is making changes to bin collection days for some suburbs, starting the week of 12 May 2025.

From this date, households in the affected areas will have their general waste and recycling collections moved to Fridays to improve service consistency and efficiency across the region.

Who is affected?

Changing from Tuesday to Friday (from 12 May 2025):

  • Belvedere
  • Goondi
  • Goondi Bend
  • Goondi Hill
  • Hudson
  • O’briens Hill
  • Stoters Hill

These properties will receive two general waste and two recycling collections in the same week to help with the transition. Recycling will then continue fortnightly on Fridays.

Changing from Wednesday to Friday (from 12 May 2025):

  • Kurrimine Beach
  • McCutcheon
  • Silkwood

Why the Change?

This update allows Council to better coordinate waste collection routes, reduce overlap, and improve long-term service delivery across the region.
