Council’s Water Main Replacement Program continues in Goondi Hill as part of Contract CCW000272 – Package of Eight Water Main Replacements (Innisfail).

Temporary Road Closure – Velution Street
To facilitate the safe and efficient installation of new water infrastructure, Velution Street will be closed to through traffic from Monday 19 May to Wednesday 21 May, between the Bruce Highway and Mahogany Street.

  • Access will be maintained for local traffic only, including access to the coffee shop within the closure area.

  • Traffic will be diverted via Railway Street while contractors carry out the water main crossing on Volution Street.

In addition to Volution Street, water mains are also being replaced in Propense Street and Danelle Street as part of this portion of the program.
