Council has already closed all community recreational buildings, public swimming pools and playgrounds including the Mission Beach Splash Pad and Warrina Lakes.

This decision has been made following recent advice from National Cabinet, and to protect the health and wellbeing of community and staff as well as to ensure business continuity is not compromised.

Council's website provides access to a full range of services, including applications, payment of bills and lodging planning and building enquiries, and a COVID-19 page has been established to offer real-time updates on impacted Council operations.

Council trusts that residents will remain safe during this difficult time and looks forward to reopening all buildings when operations return to normal.

Council continues to take its direction on COVID-19 from the Queensland and Federal Governments, and reminds residents to practice ‘social distancing’ to protect themselves and the community.
