ANNUAL PRESCRIBED BURN – Dallachy Aerodrome
Cassowary Coast Regional Council will be undertaking a series of planned burns at Dallachy Aerodrome, commencing Tuesday 30 July 2025, as part of Council’s annual hazard reduction and conservation management program for parks and forests.
Works are expected to be completed during July – August period, weather and site conditions permitting.
Please be aware:
- Nearby properties may experience smoke and reduced visibility.
- Those with respiratory or other health concerns are advised to seek medical advice on minimising smoke exposure.
- Residents and visitors should close windows and doors, and keep medication close if affected by respiratory illness.
- Smoke may impact visibility on roads and water—please drive and boat with caution.
Traffic management will be in place. Temporary road closures or detours may occur (please follow signage, barriers, and instructions from rangers or traffic controllers).
This program is delivered in partnership with landholders, Traditional Owners,, Queensland National Parks , Queensland Rural Fire Service and under permits from Queensland Fire Department.
