Pontoon Walkway Closure and Works Location: Hull Heads Road, Hull Heads

Cassowary Coast Regional Council wishes to advise on IMMEDIATE WORKS required of the old Hull Heads Pontoon walkway. The walkway is required to be removed as soon as possible to prevent major damage to the infrastructure. Works has commenced today, 16 May 2025 with repairs expected to take approx. 2 weeks.

Unfortunately, this area will be closed off to the public for the duration of works. No access will be available to the Old Pontoon as a result of the aalkway currently being removed.

This emergent work will repair the pontoon to a safe condition and restore access for public use.

The works are anticipated to be concluded by 30th May 2025, weather permitting.

TEMPORARY IMPACTS TO EXPECT

  • No Access to old Pontoon
  • Closure of Walkway
  • Reduced capacity for boat users

For the safety of workers and road users, changed traffic conditions will be in place while the works are carried out.
